Voting for Board Members
The Mar Vista Chamber of Commerce is required to hold elections for its board of directors every two years. There are seven board members that serve each two-year term. Currently, one board member is relinquishing her seat, so there will be one open board position.
Board members may retain their seats if re-elected, or new board members may be elected by a plurality of the Chamber’s members at large. A Chamber member may serve on the board if they are currently members in good standing, have been a member for at least one year, and have attended at least four regularly-scheduled Chamber meetings in the last calendar year.
Any member of the Chamber may vote for an existing board member or nominate one or more new candidates to fill the board’s membership. To vote, you must be a current member in good standing (not delinquent in payment of dues) for this calendar year. We thank you for taking the time to vote for your Chamber Board.
